Jan Buberl to lead BASF Specialty Products Division

BASF offers new larger, more-economical packaging options for Pendulum® AquaCap™ herbicide and Insignia® fungicide

To give industry professionals greater value and convenience when controlling diseases and weeds, BASF Professional Turf & Ornamentals announced new larger packaging options on two key products. Pendulum® AquaCap herbicide is available for a limited time in a 110-gallon drum and Insignia® fungicide is now available in a 36-pound drum.

New Honor™ fungicide and Tower® herbicide from BASF help golf course superintendents control broad-spectrum pest pressures

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, October 5, 2009 – BASF Professional Turf & Ornamentals today announced its launch of Honor fungicide, a combination of two industry-leading active ingredients, and Tower® herbicide, which features dimethenamid-P, a new active ingredient for the turf market. Both products give golf course superintendents broad-spectrum control to help them optimize applications.

BASF Turf & Ornamentals to discontinue sales of Drive® 75 DF herbicide

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, August 11, 2009 – BASF Turf & Ornamentals today announced that, effective immediately, it will no longer sell Drive® 75 DF herbicide to the professional turf & ornamentals market.  BASF will now focus on selling the most innovative product in postemergent herbicides, Drive® XLR8.
