I have a centipede lawn and have 2 patches of Bermuda starting to take hold. I want to get ride of these without having to kill off my yard. Do you have something that will kill Bermuda but not the Centipede?

Everyone has questions. And BASF Professional Turf has answers.

Thank you for your interest in BASF products.

Yes, BASF has a herbicide that can be used on centipedegrass and is effective on bermudagrass removal. This will most likely take repeat applications (twice - perhaps three times depending on how persistent your patch is).

The product is called Segment herbicide. The Segment product has an adjuvant in it already so you should not need to add an additional adjuvant.

Centipedegrass is the only warm season turfgrass tolerant to this product so please do not use it on zoysiagrass or St. Augustinegrass or injury may occur.

    Thanks for your question.
